Privacy Policy

Effective date: 28 August 2026 · Applies to the ShareDua website (sharedua.com) and the ShareDua mobile app.

Who we are

ShareDua is a community platform where Muslims share prayer requests (duas) and support each other by saying "Ameen". You can contact us at [email protected].

What we collect

  • Duas you post — the prayer text, category, and the display name you choose. On the website you can post fully anonymously. Posted duas are public.
  • Account details (mobile app only) — email address, display name, and an optional profile photo you upload.
  • Activity — Ameens you say and reports you submit. On the website these are linked to an anonymous session, not to your identity.
  • On-device preferences — things like your theme, bookmarks, and which duas you've said Ameen to are stored on your own device and never leave it.

What we do NOT do

  • We do not sell your data to anyone.
  • We do not show ads or use advertising trackers.
  • We do not require an account to use the website.

Where your data lives

ShareDua uses Google Firebase (Firestore, Authentication, and Storage) to store duas, accounts, and profile photos. Google acts as our data processor; you can read Google's privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy.

Content moderation

Duas are filtered for inappropriate language, and anyone can report a dua. Reported duas are hidden from the community feed and reviewed by a moderator, who may remove them permanently.

Deleting your data

Email [email protected] from the address linked to your account and we will delete your account, your duas, and your profile photo. Anonymous website posts can be removed too — include the text of the dua so we can find it.

Children

ShareDua is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update this page and the effective date above.
